Ponies For Life is a Relay For Life team in the virtual metaverse of Second Life raising funds for the American Cancer Society. Our team mostly consists of older, adult (18+) My Little Ponies and Furries, but you don't have to consider yourself a Pony or a Furry to join our team. (Though the 18+ age is a requirement!) 😉 And joining us is as simple as joining our free in-world group and attending some of our fundraising events. ♥ If you want to go the extra mile as a team member when Relay season begins (usually around February through June,) you can help us raise funds by accepting $Linden donations in-world via officially scripted ACS kiosks and/or accept $USD donations on the web via your acsevents.org dashboard! Our team members strive to meet our fundraising goals by reaching out to our local communities in real life and on social media as well as hosting virtual events in Second Life.
Our team was officially established in 2016 during the Once Upon A Cure themed Relay Season and we've steadily set our goal to raise $1,000 USD each year that we have participated in Relay. It wasn't until 2023 during Hope Floats that we succeeded to meet that seasonal goal, and we proved our might yet again for Decades of Hope 2024 hitting Platinum status a whole month before Relay Weekend! Together with you and our pony & furry friends we will continue to serve until we find a cure for cancer and well beyond. Canter with us to beat cancer!
